ARE YOU EASILY MOVED BY YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES? I am not referring to moved in the sense of compassion, which we should ALL want more of (Compassion reflects character of Christ). The MOVED I am talking about means easily discouraged, which can lead to making UNWISE choices. It is quite evident that people from all walks of life are being easily moved by their current circumstances. Turn on the television, talk to a friend, go to work and the stories will all be consistent. Human beings are being moved to do things that are CONTRARY to their values. Some events we face in life are due to us not tapping into the IMPORTANCE OF A SOLID FOUNDATION. Horrific stories of people losing their jobs and resorting to taking their life and the lives of those they supposedly love. Feeling the need to GET BACK AT those who have hurt us. Getting one bad grade on a test and debating whether or not you should stay in school. Losing a loved one and relying on drugs to ease the pain. Not feeling loved by a parent, so seeking love from any and everybody that smiles at you. Getting an unfavorable doctor's report and placing all your HOPE in man, instead of believing in GOD for a Supernatural Healing. I know these messages are a bit direct at times, but sugar coating a situation does not IGNITE us to do something different to get different RESULTS. As a Life Events Coach my call in life is to inspire others to see their situation for what it is and come up with plans to move forward and NOT GIVE UP. I BELIEVE FOUNDATION WILL DETERMINE WHETHER WE FAIL OR SUCCEED IN LIFE.
When we are easily moved nine times out of ten there are defects in our FOUNDATION. You might say, "Kendra there are some very painful situations in life that cause us to be moved no matter what." My response to that is we all will experience hardships in life but we have to choose to LIVE for GOD. The separating factor in any adversity is how we REACT in the mist of the storm. I know first hand what it feels like to THINK you are standing on a Sturdy Foundation and all of a sudden be shaken (profess to be Christian, but not living like one). I have endured many tragedies in my life and through them all I am thankful that the foundation was a SOLID ROCK. If I did not have a firm foundation there is no telling where I would be or what I would be doing (this might be your testimony too). There are times in my life I felt like Giving Up. I give ALL GLORY TO GOD that the person you see today is the one God Cleaned up and Made Whole. However, at the age of ten I questioned why I was born to endure so much pain on earth? After the deaths of numerous family members I just could not understand what God wanted me to do. Where did he want me to turn and where did he want me to go? This confusion led to me making unwise decisions which caused additional pain in my life. After years and years of unanswered questions the Holy Spirit revealed that GOD did not want me to GO or TURN ANYWHERE. HE WANTED ME TO STAY PUT AND NOT BE MOVED. Standing firm on the Solid Rock Foundation of Jesus Christ would be a testimony to others to do the same when Life Events tried to Knock them down . Psalm 40:2 NIV: He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. The bottom line is if you have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and TRUST him with every part of you, when Life Events come your way you will NOT BE MOVED (I know it is hard, but we have to do it). There is a feeling of Peace and Strength that arises when we are NOT Easily Moved by our Circumstances. We can hold our head up high knowing we are standing on the Power of Jesus Christ. His Power has the ability to go against any attack of the enemy to Move us Away from the Precious Word of God.
Our Faith and Trust in the Lord plays a major role in whether or not we are moved. While vacationing at the beach I could not help but stare at the birds as they walked along the shore. One little bird caught my attention because he was so tiny, yet so brave. The bird walked with his back facing the waves and did not turn around to see how large the waves were. I tried to mimic the bird and stand with my back against the waves and I quickly turned around thinking a large wave would quickly arise. The bird trusted in the fact that the wave would not come beyond a certain point. If the wave did go beyond that point the bird would not be moved by it. Do you trust in the fact that GOD WILL NOT ALLOW THE WAVES BEYOND A CERTAIN POINT, AND IF HE DOES HE WILL PICK YOU UP SO YOU ARE NOT KNOCKED DOWN BY THE WAVES? Many believers and nonbelievers are sinking in LIFE EVENTS because we say we trust in Jesus Christ, but our Actions do not reflect this. It can be compared to Peter asking Jesus to help him walk on water. When Jesus told Peter to Come, Peter started walking on water. What happened when the wind started blowing? Matthew 14: 30-31 Amplified: But when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me (from death)! Instantly Jesus reached out His hand and caught and held him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt? So my question is why are you Doubting if you have built your whole existence on the Solid Rock Foundation of Jesus Christ? We doubt when we have little faith and are not aware of the Promises of God. It is easy to be MOVED by circumstances when we do not know what the Word of God (Bible) tells us to do. Over the years, I have learned that the reason I was MOVED is because I DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH WORD IN ME TO STAND ON. Just saying a rehearsed prayer in the morning and before we go to bed is not enough to withstand the storms of life. We have to STUDY and SEEK Understanding of the WORD OF GOD in an effort to NOT BE MOVED. It is Imperative that we have a RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST and not just a ONE NIGHT STAND only when we need Him.
In closing, I know Life is Hard and we are told in the Bible that we will face evil. Psalm 34: 19-20 Amplified: Many evils confront the (consistently) righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. The way to live life to the fullest and fulfill our GOD GIVEN DESTINY is to choose the RIGHT FOUNDATION. Yes we all have a Choice as to what we build our Destiny on. If we build it on Jesus Christ, we can have Peace no matter what Storm comes our way and we will not be Moved. Isaiah 26: 3-4 Amplified: You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind (both its inclination and its character) is stayed on You, because he commits himself to you, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock (the Rock of Ages). Choosing the Solid Rock Foundation of Jesus Christ is not just for you, but those who are watching you (your children, unbelievers, the hopeless, friends, family). Be an example to others of how NOT TO BE MOVED.
I leave you with Matthew 7:24-27 Amplified
So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them (obeying them) will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell-and great and complete was the fall of it.

TURNING POINT TUESDAY: ARE YOU STILL BLAMING THE DOG FOR EATING YOUR HOMEWORK?
"The Dog Ate my homework" may sound funny, hard to believe, or even pathetic to some people. However, the truth is we have all blamed the dog at some point in our life (some more than others). Something as small as not going somewhere because you are to tired is an EXCUSE. Yes you might be tired, but if you were asked to go somewhere you REALLY want to go ( see favorite singer in a concert) would you use the SAME EXCUSE? Some people find comfort in blaming the dog every single day. There comes a time in life when we have to start taking responsibility for OUR OWN ACTIONS. This is one of the important keys to fulfilling our God Given Destiny.
My question for you, "WHAT EXCUSES ARE BLOCKING YOUR DYNAMIC DESTINY?"
The best job goes to the person who can get it done without passing the buck or coming back with excuses. Napoleon Hill
This issue should not be taken lightly because there are people that believe shifting the responsibility on a thing, person, or situation is okay 100% of the time. Of course there are some legitimate Life Events that are excusable. Like missing work because you have a contagious virus. Not driving to a ball game because the roads are too icy. The key is before we excuse ourselves from a situation, task, or outcome God has called us to, we must assess whether all possibilities have been exhausted. Is the excuse truthful? What do you mean Kendra? For example, imagine you are late for work because you over slept. As soon as you walk into the building your boss wants to know what took you so long. How would you answer this question?( Really think about your POSSIBLE ANSWERS based on your character) The right thing to do is tell the boss you over slept, apologize for being late, and tell him/her you will do your best to make sure it does not happen again. However, a good majority of people would go into a dissertation about the cause for being late in an effort to shift the blame onto another source. "Well my son had a basketball game last night and I had to take some of the team members home, which caused us to get to bed late. It was so hard getting up this morning and when I tried to get my son up to get ready, he just turned over. Then once we got in the car............and so on, and so on." So if the person that gave this response has the responsibility of taking the team members home after every game, does that mean he/she will always be late the day after the game? I know it might sound simple, but evidently we have some work to do in this area because making excuses is COMMON among diverse groups of people, from all walks of like, with various lifestyles. Just simply setting the alarm clock for 30 minutes earlier would have possibly prevented the tardiness so this would have exhausted other possibilities before shifting the blame... None of us are perfect and I can admit I too make excuses (I HAVE NOT ARRIVED). However, that doesn't change the fact that we have to STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND START ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR NOT ACHIEVING OUR GOALS! Successful people have NO NEED and NO DESIRE to MAKE EXCUSES. I am thankful that over the years I have learned and I am still learning that accepting responsibility builds Character and opens the door to your Destiny. This also means accepting responsibility for how we make others feel. If you do something to hurt someone, do you apologize and ask for forgiveness or do you try to explain what drove you to tear a hole in their spirit? Making excuses takes on many forms. We must examine what form we are using to pass the blame or COVER UP OUR OWN INSECURITIES.
The other day tears came to my eyes as I watched a teenage girl get up before dawn to ride the bus almost two hours to her school (school in her neighborhood did not offer same quality of education). After a full day of school this teenage girl then worked to try to support herself and her family. After work she rode the bus back to her house with the goal of completing her homework. Once she finally went to bed she would only get about 3 to 4 hours of sleep before having to engage in this routine again. You want to know the kicker? She still has managed to maintain OVER A 3.5 GPA!! Stories like this should give you a GUT CHECK. The years are flying by and many people keep making a different excuse each year for not living their dream. If you are not satisfied with your current place in life, what are you doing to change positions and go to the next level (in your relationship, career, spirituality, physical health)? Are you supposed to start your own business, but you are making excuses that you are not talented or smart enough? Or maybe your dream is to go back to school, but your excuse is your age. Notice the use of the word BUT. How often are you using the word But to excuse yourself from doing something? As a Certified Professional Coach when I hear a person using words or phrases like ( Can't, Could have, If only, Maybe, Might, Should have, Someday, Sometime, Try, What if, Would have) it triggers me to identify roadblocks that people are Building for THEMSELVES. Of course it is NOT totally bad to use these words or phrases. However, if the words are used as a COP OUT to avoid fulfilling your purpose then it is a NEGATIVE WORD.
The following are a few common reasons I believe WE use excuses: Afraid of failure, Concerned about how others perceive us (not telling truth will make it appear better than what it is), Have not Tapped Into our God Given Abilities (Unaware of talents), Fear of stepping outside Comfort Zone, Passing On Generational Habits, Undealt with Insecurities (Esteem Issues), Will Get to it later Mentality, Lazziness, Stuck in a Rut of doing the same thing expecting Different Results (Definition of Insanity). Do you fit in any of these categories? If the answer is Yes, that is Great because you have taken the first step to identifying a potential Roadblock to your Dynamic Destiny. Now pray and ask God to deliver you from any bondage in this area. Psalm 50:15 Amplified: And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.
We know for a fact JESUS DID NOT MAKE EXCUSES in the sense of the word we are discussing. Jesus had many followers, but some people chose not to follow Jesus. One example of making an excuse not to follow Jesus is found in Matthew 8: 21-22 Amplified: Another of the disciples said to Him, Lord, let me first go and bury (care for till death) my father. But Jesus said to him, Follow Me, and leave the dead (in sin) to bury their own dead. Jesus could have told the guy it was excusable for him to care for his father, but he didn't. Jesus SAW RIGHT THROUGH the man's attempt to avoid leaving his place of comfort. Jesus knew from the beginning of time our flesh would get in the way of following his lead. Adam and Eve both made excuses in Genesis as to why they ate of the Tree of Knowledge. Adam BLAMED Eve and Eve BLAMED the serpent. Blaming someone or something for YOUR MISTAKE is a prime example of making an Excuse. Jesus is the BEST REASON TO STOP MAKING EXCUSES. He was beaten beyond recognition for OUR INFIRMITIES and that did not stop him from Dying on the Cross for You and Me! An Infirmity is defined as any bodily weakness, a disease, or a FAILING DEFECT IN A PERSON'S CHARACTER. For this reason, Jesus Died on the cross for the CRUTCH EXCUSES we make as human beings. He Took on ALL of Our Sins, yet he was Sinless. The sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ should Ignite all of us to Stop making excuses and Start Walking Into Our Dynamic Destiny. So stand with me today and let's Put an END to Blaming the Dog for Eating our Homework and start Completing our Homework with the EXPECTATION of getting an A!
Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you, never excuse yourself. Henry Ward Beecher
* My prayer is that these messages will Ignite you to be all God has Created you to be. I cannot judge you, for I am running the same race you are running. Do not allow anyone or anything define your personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He knows your thoughts and he knows your heart. No matter what I (Kendra) share or Man shares the final decision is in GOD'S HANDS... I am just answering the call of God to share his Truths in written form. TURNING POINT TUESDAY: DO YOU NEED A PAT ON THE BACK TO WALK INTO YOUR DYNAMIC DESTINY?
Great Job, Well Done, Excellent Work, Proud of you, Way to Go, You're a Life Saver! You have probably heard one or more of these phrases in your lifetime. These phrases reflect a "Pat on the Back" for something you have accomplished. These are affirmations of praise for giving your all and performing beyond what was expected. My first Pat on the Back was in elementary school when I brought home A's and B's on my report card. Not only did my Dad tell me he was proud of me, he also slipped me some green friends to buy something nice. It made me feel so good to have my father recognize my hard work. Can you remember the first time you received a Pat on the Back? Some people did not receive pat on the backs until late in life and others will make the case that they have NEVER received a pat on the back.I believe the reason why many people are NOT Walking Into their Dynamic Destiny is because they are waiting on a Pat on the Back from Man instead of seeking one from GOD. If you are basing your talents, ideas, and purpose on whether or not you receive Praises from man, you will NOT FULFILL Your GOD GIVEN DESTINY! This topic is heavy on my heart because I see people throwing in the towel just because someone did not "Give you a Shout Out!" People with so much potential that have the ability to make this world a BETTER PLACE just calling it quits all because they did not get the accolades they thought they deserved. I plead with you today, to stop Seeking the approval of Man and Start seeking the approval of the Master. In seeking the approval of the Master if it is God's Will he will see fit they you receive what is due to you as a child of God. We have to mature in this area and stop acting like a bunch of babies throwing a temper tantrum when we do not get our way. No Weapon Formed Against you Shall Prosper and you are more than a Conqueror. Do not GIVE UP! Walk with your head held high knowing you are created in the Image of the Almighty God. No I am not talking about Arrogance which is definitely a Prideful Spirit that God despises. I am talking about a hunger to want to Walk Like Christ, Talk Like Christ, and Work Hard to uphold the Character of Christ for the Glory of God and not Man! Stop allowing others to Stunt the Talents God has blessed you with. Eliminate the mentality that someone OWES you something and adapt the mentality that you OWE God everything! Somebody reading this blog is close to getting a Promotion at Work, but you are allowing the lack of Pats on the Back cause you to slack off and work with less Passion. Someone else is getting ready to have a break through in your marriage, but you are upset because your spouse did not give you the compliments you thought you deserved. Another person is getting ready to switch their membership at a church you have been called to because you feel the members of the church are not aware of your hard work. A young person is lined up to receive a scholarship for college, but you are starting fall behind on your school work because your parents are not playing an active roll in your life. The bottom line is you CANNOT allow others to BLOCK your Destiny. You have to make up in your mind that you will Go if you have to go by yourself. That means if you are serving God with all your Heart, Mind, and Soul then you should NOT be concerned about the approval of man; God will work it out for his good. Man is not perfect (still in the flesh). For this reason, HUMAN ERROR could result in forgetting to recognize someone or JEALOUSY could lead to your hard work being ignored.
As believers we have to be concerned about Heavenly Rewards instead of Earthly Rewards. We must evaluate OUR MOTIVES. If we are doing things only to be in the Spot light and be recognized my man, this is displeasing to our Heavenly Father. Pleasing man means that our character might not line up with the Character of Christ. John 5:41 Amplified: I receive not glory from men (I crave no human honor, I look for no mortal fame). Walking Into your Dynamic Destiny means Walking With God just like Enoch Did. We know in the Bible Enoch Pleased God. Enoch is not mentioned much in the Bible, but in the brief account of him he was able to Receive a Pat on the Back from the one and only True God! Hebrews 11:5 Amplified: Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony (still on record) that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God. (Gen. 5 21-24) I get excited just reading how Enoch didn't even see Death because of the Life he lived in accordance with the commands of God. Do you want to please God like Enoch, like Noah, and like Jesus Christ? If the answer is Yes, let's take this journey together and start fulfilling our God Given Destiny regardless of whether we receive a Pat on the Back from Man. Let's Strive to Please our Heavenly Father and in doing that we can positively influence, help, love, and be a witness for the Glory of God!
*Last point: When you Diligently Seek God and his Will for your life, you will not be Moved by the Pats on the Back by Man, you will be Moved by the Pats on the Back from the True and Living God!
Hebrews 13: 20-21 NIV: May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

TURNING POINT TUESDAY: STOP WORRYING AND START WAITING!
At some point in your lifetime you have probably Worried about something or someone. Some people like myself first encountered worry at an early age. Being forced to deal with adult situations as a child opens the door to worry. Our fleshly bodies make us vulnerable to relying on our own understanding, instead of placing our hope in the All Knowing God.
As a Neuroscience Specialist with a Pharmaceutical Company I promoted medications that helped patients that were diagnosed with mental illness. Many of the patients shared the mental torture of constant worry about their current circumstances = "Life Events." Statistics report that between 70% to 95% of patients visit the doctor due to Stress Related Disorders. Excessive worrying can cause Unhealthy Stress which can manifest into fatigue, anxiety, depression, skin disorders, headaches, stomach aches, chest pain, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, fatigue, obesity, cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Special people in my life and your life have died premature deaths due to not seeing a WAY OUT OF THE WORRY. There are people reading this blog that are allowing Life Events to Stress them out and stand in the way of fulfilling their Dynamic Destiny. As my brothers and sisters I have to speak the truth in love about this topic. I believe if you start tapping into the POWER OF ACTIVE WAITING you will be able to find JOY in your current situation. God has a Prize designed specifically for you, but you have to wait on it because He knows best!
So my question for you is what are you WASTING YOUR TIME & ENERGY WORRYING ABOUT? I remember, a time in my life when I wasted time worrying about my career. I couldn't even give my family ALL OF ME when we spent time together because my mind worried about all the many things I needed to do to be successful (success defined by man). I worried about being able to perform to the best of my abilities, because I did not want to let the company or my family down. The constant worrying triggered a sense of relying on myself to get the job done, instead of relying on my Heavenly Father to make it happen (Spirit of Pride). I was tricked by the enemy into believing that I had Control over the situation. After burning out and growing weary I got on my knees and cried out to God to take the worry out of my life. I felt the Holy Spirit confirming to me that God was WAITING on me to WAIT for him to SHOW UP and SHOW OUT in my situation. All along this is exactly what God wanted me to do. Philippians 4:6 Amplified: Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests) with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. After I started taking heed to this scripture God showed me exactly how Powerful he was. I moved out of the drivers seat and DESPERATELY asked God to TAKE OVER. THE SHACKLES FELL OFF AND THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD IMMEDIATELY LIFTED.
At that moment I knew without a doubt God was going to provide in every area of my life! I get excited just thinking about that feeling of Freedom and Renewal. I considered myself to be a Mature Christian at the time, but I was still allowing Immature matters to second guess my dependence and trust in God.
The Bible deals with the issue of worry. God has given us ALL the answers in the Bible (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) to tackle. God wants us to guard ourselves and have the right weapons to defeat the enemy in Every situation. We are the sons and daughters of our "Heavenly Father" and he wants to protect and care for us. Peter 5:7 Amplified: Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns. once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. This scripture confirms the faith we need to ACTIVELY WAIT on the Lord because he watchfully cares for us.
One way to get rid of Worry is start spending time with God in prayer and meditation. I believe many people are stuck in a whirlwind of worry because they are spending too much time on things of the world and not enough time pressing into the Power of Jesus Christ. If you are feeding your spirit with TV shows, Music, Books, and People that focus on the troubles of this world your mind is constantly being fed a spirit of Worry. What goes into your Mind and Heart will eventually come out. For this reason, instead of watching TV take time to read the Bible and find out how much you are Loved, Adored, and Provided for by the Father. You must believe with all your heart that God is able to fight your battles. The next time you doubt God's ability to fight your battles go look at yourself in the mirror. Take time to examine how everything on your body has a PERFECT DESIGN. Take time to move your body parts and feel the architecture of the Holy Father working on the inside. God is awesome and sometimes we take for granted how Almighty God is. I LOVE the beach because it shows how great God is to create such a beautiful place. However, I have to look at myself every once and a while and stare in amazement at the Wonderous Masterpiece of God's Holy Hands. We look for other things and people to give us Revelation of God, when all we have to do is Look in the Mirror. The bottom line is if God was capable of creating you, he is capable of taking care of you and Working Out Any Concern you have about your Life. (Even that job someone is seeking right now...You know who you are)
Psalm 62:5 Amplified: My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him: for my hope and expectation are from Him. Today is the day to START ACTIVELY WAITING ON THE LORD. Expectation should not be in ourselves, it should be in the ability of God to Manifest his Glory in our Lives. It is only human to equate waiting with being Passive. I know at first thought when I think of waiting I imagine someone being told to stay in place and wait until something happens. "Wait right there I will be back in a minute." The reality is Waiting on God is one of the most Active instructions you will ever follow in your lifetime. Waiting on God requires an act of Faith that involves more Strength than the highest paid Athlete in the world. To have Faith you must be Patient. Patience is a difficult task for any human being, because we are wired to have everything Our way and Right Now! Patience requires us to sit back and believe with all our mind, heart, and soul that God's plans for our lives will eventually come to pass in his PERFECT TIMING. God might not come when we want him to, but he is ALWAYS ON TIME. Actively Waiting means running the race of life knowing that God will always be the first to the finish line, but we run our race with anticipation. It means working everyday and not becoming lazy in our patience. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love what Christmas represents and how it makes me feel. However, as much as I love the feeling of Christmas I can't just sit around and wait until December. I have to go on about my everyday activities knowing that as I am busy using the gifts God has blessed me with that finally in December I will be able to enjoy my favorite Holiday with my family. God wants us to keep MOVING while he Keeps MOVING to bring Peace in our Storms. We must continue to seek God first and his Righteousness during our time of wait. Seeking God means obeying his commandments and hungrily following the Will of God, instead of Our Will. So let's hold each other accountable and STOP saying things like, "I can't take it anymore, I am tired of this, I don't know what to do, and I am Stressed out." Let's start saying," I am going to Patiently and Actively Wait on the Lord because he knows what is best for me and during my wait I will put Him first in my life."
I leave you with this scripture Psalms 145:15-16 Amplified: The eyes of all those who wait for You (looking, watching, and expecting) and You give them their food in due season. You open Your hand and satisfy every living thing with favor.
